St. Louis Spine Injury Attorney Says Car Accident Whiplash Injuries Are No Laughing Matter
Anyone who watches television has seen a comedy show where someone fakes a “whiplash” injury and tries to collect money that they don’t deserve. Jack Lemon did a movie called “The Fortune Cookie” where he hires an attorney nicknamed “whiplash Willie” because he knows all sorts of tricks to help fake an injury. “Whiplash injuries” may actually be diagnosed as back or neck “sprains” or “strains.” When an accident victim is thrown forward in a violent manner during a motor vehicle accident, the result is oftentimes “soft-tisue” damage. “Soft- tissue ” damage generally consists of “muscle injury” and” ligament injury” which cannot be observed on X-rays or other diagnostic tests. A doctor will often note “muscle spasms” where there is a tightening of muscles in the injured area. It is difficult to quantify or measure “soft tissue injuries” which result from “whiplash.” “Whiplash” injuries are usually treated with physical therapy , or a chiropractor may treat these injuries with “chiropractic manipulations.” People suffering from “whiplash” find them to be far from funny. From a legal standpoint, it is important to get treatment for these injuries as soon as possible since diagnostic testing doesn’t always make your case. Unfortunately for “whiplash victims the media has created an image of “whiplash” victims as schemers ,fakers and opportunists. As a “spine injury attorney “it is my job to overcome the predjudice which has been caused by movies and television shows. As I said – “Whiplash is no laughing matter.” Submitted by Jeff Swaney FREE CONSULTATION 314-481-7778

Great article! I was involved in a car accident and had whiplash and it took months for me to get better. The insurance company refused to pay me any money because they told me it was “only” a neck strain. I should have used the Swaney Law firm. Thanks for the info.

Great Post! Whiplash is a serious problem that we see everyday and TV has hurt the perception of the many people who have real injuries. It is also unfortunate that people on TV and in the movies can be in a horrific accident and just have a few scrapes. This is not real-life portrayal.

Very good article, highlights the the stigma that is attached to the accident claim industry perfectly!!! I personally believe that many people actually avoid making a claim because of this kinda of bad press.
And btw angie, if you mean can you have both a works claim and an car claim at the same time for seperate incidents then I don’t see why not. If you are refering to a claim where you were injured in a works vehicle I would have thought that you can’t claim twice for the same incident but may have to claim for different compensation from different sources.

I FINALLY I got to read your content, there is definately a problem with your XHtml. Have you tried verifying it through W3? It could just be A theme problem though… Just thought I would warn you from one webmaster to another because I would hate to lose my traffic if I had an issue and didn’t notice.

I like your articles on your site, but it looks as though your RSS feed is saying 404 error? Maybe it has something to do with your host. I just thought from webmaster to webmaster I would warn you of this problem so you don’t miss out on potential subscribers! If it still works for you have a friend try it, could be keeping out external connections.
